Saiyami Kher hosted a screening of Ghoomer and had the cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar in attendance. Tendulkar praised performances in the movie and was full of smiles in a social media post after the film’s end credits. He also requested Kher demonstrate how she carried out her “Ghoomer-style” bowling.
Saiyami was more than happy to show Sachin her skills, and the legendary cricketer was impressed by her form, stance, and other elements. He also appreciated Saiyami’s role in the movie stating that “Saiyami looks very authentic. Her love for cricket and her ability to understand the character was amazing.”
R. Balki directed the movie and other stars like Abhishek Bachchan are among the film’s main cast. Kher posted a long message on social media after the screening to express her satisfaction with Sachin’s approval of her role in Ghoomer. She also idolizes Sachin and said he made her dreams come true as a fan of his world-famous cricket career:

“What’s the one dream you had as a child that you never thought could never come true? Mine was that someday, I would get to meet @sachintendulkar my hero, my inspiration, my teacher. I have loved and learnt this game watching him play. I’ve bunked college to watch him play. I’ve had the loudest “Sachinnn Sachhhin” chant in the North Stand. So, I can’t seem to explain what this means to me,” Kher wrote underneath her post.
She also talked about her desire to become an actress and have legends like Sachin Tendulkar see her work:
“When I began acting, my friends ragged me and said, ‘Ja ja, acting kar. Someday Sachin will watch your film.’ And that became my goal. To work hard and hope that someday the Master will watch my work. And then, it happened, the God of Cricket saw a film in which I play a cricketer. The God of Cricket asked me to show him how I bowled the Ghoomer. Dreams really do come true. This. This part of my life is called happiness,” she further wrote.

Kher also showed she’s a diehard fan of Sachin in her post, singling out few of the cricket star’s many stellar performances for club and country:
“His 136 at Chennai, the Sharjah Storm, 241 at Sydney, 98 vs Pakistan, the list is endless. He gave me joy, he taught me how to fight, he taught me passion, how to never give up, how to work hard, and how to stay grounded. Unknowingly, he taught me how to live.”

Saiyami plays Anina in Ghoomer, an aspiring cricketer who meets tragedy before ever having a successful career. Anina loses her arm in a bad accident and goes on to para-cricket intent to bring India trophies.
Saiyami’s Instagram video showed Sachin requesting she bowl to him. He (Sachin) hands Kher a canvas ball and her bowling style impresses Tendulkar immediately. She applies a unique left-arm spin to her bowling attack with her other hand firmly placed behind her. Tendulkar’s comments about her bowling action shows Saiyami’s commitments to see the movie succeed:
