Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has revealed their full list of staff members ahead of IPL 2024. The IPL 2023 Playoffs place seems to have spurned LSG to go one better next season for their maiden title. New appointments and arrivals in the squad are coordinated and the LSG coaching staff is turning out to be one of IPL 2024’s best ahead of the new season.
Head Coach
Former Australian cricketer Justin Langer has taken the reins at Lucknow Super Giants to steer one of India’s finest franchises towards a better finish in IPL 2024. The legendary cricketer joins one of IPL’s newest franchises and could bring the spark LSG needs to achieve cricket glory in 2024. He joins an experienced assembly of coaching staff with new additions piling up across several departments.
Langer’s formidable knowledge of the game and strong backroom staff could be the final ingredient required to give LSG their first taste of IPL cricket glory.
Assistant Coach
Langer will work with some familiar faces at Lucknow Super Giants with the franchise roping in Sridharan Sriram. The duo worked together for Australia’s senior men’s team, bringing much success to the Aussies’ Twenty20 and Ashes campaigns.
Sriram’s addition to the LSG camp brings a wealth of experience to their backroom staff, increasing their chances of becoming the IPL’s top franchise in 2024. Sriram’s experience with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will also provide a massive advantage for LSG.
He was once an assistant gaffer for spin bowling and batting at RCB. His enhanced credentials in Twenty20 cricket is another plus for the Super Giants ahead of IPL 2024.
Global Mentor
Gautam Gambhir is now the LSG’s ‘Global Mentor’ after his recent appointment to the franchise. He brings his immense experience and knowledge of the sport to LSG’s backroom staff ahead of IPL 2024. Gambhir’s addition to the team could be a massive asset and boost their chances for a maiden title this season.

Other members of the packed Lucknow Super Giants coaching side are experienced hands like Vijay Dahiya, Morne Morkel, Jonty Rhodes, and Pravin Tambe.

The Lucknow Super Giants recorded an exciting maiden season in IPL Twenty20 cricket. Their 3rd place finish in the group table was among highest-ranked scored ever recorded for a debut side since IPL cricket kicked off in the late 2000s.
The team managed to win 9 games out of a possible 15 in IPL 2022, announcing their arrival to top cricket as a determined side. Their win PCT of 60% was also among one of the best in that season.
Fast forward to IPL 2023 and LSG still turned up with an exciting performance to wow fans worldwide. The team fell short of their earlier PCT (53.3%) with a N/R recorded from one of their fifteen games.
