The T20 Mumbai League 2025 will hold from May 26 to June 8, 2025. Fans are set to experience the very best from Mumbai’s established talent and rising stars in this edition.
Mumbai Cricket Association Announces Children and Student Invitation to Games
The MCA has confirmed their invitation of underprivileged children and students to the forthcoming T20 Mumbai League 2025 through an official statement:
“The T20 Mumbai League has been a game-changer not just for cricket in the city, but also for Indian cricket. The last two editions saw several players impressing with remarkable performances and making their mark on the national stage. Watching star players live is incredibly inspiring for the next generation, and we want to use this opportunity to bring underprivileged children and BMC school students to the stadium — encouraging them to get inspired and dream big,” the MCA statement read.
T20 Mumbai League 2025 Teams and Sponsors
Eight (8) teams are on schedule to take part in the T20 Mumbai League 2025. Each team has a backing firm for the third edition that partners to deliver several essential functions to ensure smooth running of the 2-week event:
North Mumbai Panthers
The North Mumbai Panthers receive backing from Horizon Sports India Private Limited. They are one of the founding teams of the T20 Mumbai League and retain their MCA status for the third edition.
ARCS Andheri
Arcs Sports and Entertainment (PVT) Ltd. sponsors the ARCS Andheri team. ARCS operates under a long-running agreement with the MCA that stretches into the third edition.
Triumph Knights Mumbai North East
The Triumph Knights Mumbai North East receive operational backing from the Transcon Triumph Knights Private Limited. The team is a pioneer member in this competition and retains their participating status for the third season. Both entities continue their association and hope to improve their finishing place in the upcoming tournament.
Namo Bandra Blasters
The Namo Bandra Blasters receive backing from the PK Sports Ventures Private Limited. Their long-running partnership aims to build more grassroot talent within the Mumbai cricket community according to reports.
Eagle Thane Strikers
Eagle Infra India Ltd. sponsors the Eagle Thane Strikers. The partnership offers Eagle Thane Strikers the company’s regional network for robust team support.
Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs
World Star Premier League LLP sponsors the Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs. Some reports suggest that the partnership aims to promote local cricketing talent across Mumbai.

T20 Mumbai League 2025 Approved Format
The T20 Mumbai League is a premier cricket competition organized by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). This league is scheduled to hold its third edition in 2025 that will see a total of eight (8) teams battle for supremacy within Mumbai’s top T20 circuits.
Each team will play at least five (5) matches in the league stage and face a set of opponents at least once throughout this competition. All games follow standard ICC Twenty20 laws and there is no promotion or relegation from the competition.
Icon player
Each team can field an ‘icon player’ assigned by a draw to ensure every side has at least one marquee talent. Icon players usually come from the IPL each season and the 2025 edition aim to follow that tradition practiced in the first two tournaments.
Points tally
The top four (4) sides after group stage games will advance to a playoffs phase that adopts a Qualifier and Eliminator model used in the IPL.
Playoffs
The playoffs stage goes as follows:
Qualifier 1: 1st vs 2nd on the group stage rankings will go head-to-head for a direct spot in the final. Loser of Qualifier 1 will progress to Qualifier 2 for another shot at a finals place.
Eliminator: 3rd and 4th place on group stage rankings will play for a spot in Qualifier 2. Loser of this tie is knocked out automatically.
Qualifier 2: Loser of Qualifier 2 and winner of Eliminator play for a place in the final.
Final: Winner of Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2 face each other in the final at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai for the title.
